This is your Summer for ENERGY STAR

Unless you’re off the grid, every month someone in your building or facility is receiving a monthly utility bill. Per the Department of Energy, the total annual cost of energy in the commercial and industrial sector equals approximately $400 billion. Your portion of the energy costs may be a few hundred dollars or thousands per month but it may be rising.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration recently posted their latest data on the average price of Electricity by end-use sector.

Per EPA, more than 450,000 commercial buildings representing 40% of the commercial market actively measure and track their energy use (as of year-end 2015). However, only about 6% percent of those buildings have been certified as ENERGY STAR. Maybe this is your year to make investments in energy and save money.
